As you may or may not realize, as a nation we send high school graduates into the real world without practical financial training and, as evident by the latest news, the results can be disastrous. In fact, the average college graduate leaves school with over $20,000 in debt, so it's no wonder we have many people facing challenging financial situations. What's worse is that kids today have nowhere to turn for sound financial advice because many parents are also in monetary dire straits. 

For years I've visited several locations talking to teens and young adults about finance. It is apparent financial illiteracy is a major problem affecting people from all walks of life.
